Blog 1: Launching my first blog

I’m not sure I know exactly what I’m doing here but here goes nothing. I’m starting my own blog! It probably sounds silly but it’s an accomplishment for me. Let me share with you how I got into blogging.

Two months ago some Affiliate online marketer approached me and handed me a “once in a life time opportunity”. He said the best way right now to generate passive income is to sell products online. And in no time I will quit my job because I’ll be earning thousands of dollars per month. Mind you, I’m a 26 year old man who lives with his mother who earns a monthly salary of $64.73 US. Needless to say I candidly believed him as I was so desperate to become financially independent! So I borrowed money to pay for his course and became an online affiliate marketer.

The first 2 days I was very excited! I Tried to sell people stuff on every website that I know. YouTube, Facebook and even here on WordPress. But during the process something felt wrong. Not only I haven’t made a single penny from doing this (because I’m terrible at marketing), but I also felt like something was off. You know that gut feeling you get when you know deep down something or someone is not right for you? That’s exactly how I felt. So I stopped and canceled my monthly subscription. I don’t see the point of selling products that I don’t even believe in. And if I have to become financially successful I will have to find another way to do so.

Subscribing to this man affiliate program had a positive side. Part of his assignment consisted on creating your own website in order to promote the products that you are trying to sell. And this is how I discovered WordPress… in 2017. I know, I know don’t say a word. I’m late to the party. But I’m so very happy to be here.

I want to use that blog as an outlet to spread peace, love and compassion in the world. And I want to do so by sharing my day to day experiences and my reflections on them. If you made it this far into the text I’d like to say thank you and welcome you to my little world. I love you. PCL!

PS: English is actually my third language please be kind to me.
